Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator role at ThreadWeather is an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated social media savvy individual to lead a highly visible and contributing role supporting the social media efforts of our online style blog and fashion inspiration app.

An Oakland, California based fashion lifestyle magazine and style discovery app. Our specialty and area of interest is seasonal style as it relates to comfort, beauty and seasonal weather conditions and our mission is to empower women everywhere to look and feel their very best no matter what Mother Nature sends their way.

Job Description:
ThreadWeather is currently seeking a Social Media Coordinator. This role will work closely with the editorial and creative teams and report to our design co-founder. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, quick thinking, highly organized, and have a passion for style and fashion. This role will be responsible for coordinating and successfully executing digital marketing campaigns and all social media initiatives. 


  • Manage the ThreadWeather social content schedules and daily publishing across target social media channels.

  • Coordinate and support rollout of social media campaigns.

  • Dive into social media analytics to constantly optimize social media performance by building best practices on content, distribution, and amplification.

  • Assist with campaign reporting and insights by capturing, tracking and adding social media data into all required documentation, such as formal campaign recaps, performance dashboards, social calendar, and regular reporting sheets.

  • Brainstorm influencer lists for seeding social media partnerships.

  • Manage and assist in analyzing comments, highlighting insightful comments (negative and positive), and directing communications to larger ThreadWeather editorial and content team.

  • Assist in writing press pitches.

  • Manage social media partner platform relationships.

  • Coordinate and streamline internal and vendor social requests.


  • Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.

  • A high degree of reliability and professionalism. Must be detail-oriented and deadline driven, with strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to drive results and communicate effectively.

  • Retail and/or fashion industry experience is a plus.
